2026 AG Week of Prayer to Focus on America
The Week of Prayer theme verse is found in Jeremiah 29:7 (NIV): “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
“I expect you will agree with me,” Clay states in reference to the verse, “America needs a move of God.”
The Week of Prayer, Jan. 4-10, is supported with a number of free online resources including: Daily Prayer Points; free downloads that include a bulletin insert with the prayer points, an email header, and presentation slides featuring a prayer point on each one; a small group Bible study video; a brief Week of Prayer intro video; a video for church leaders featuring Clay joined by Dick Eastman and Mark Batterson; and a selection of suggested prayer resources available for purchase through My Healthy Church.
The prayer points for the 2026 Week of Prayer include praying for our nation, schools, leaders (national, state, and local), judges, and churches with the materials also available in Spanish, including the videos, which offer closed-caption translation.
“I have a deep desire for a strong majority of Assemblies of God ministers and congregations to devote themselves to prayer — not only during January 4–10, but throughout all of 2026 — as they anticipate God fulfilling His purposes in and through them to reach our nation for Christ,” Clay urges.
